Chickenpox Vaccine Linked with Shingles Epidemic

New research published in the International Journal of Toxicology (IJT) by Gary S. Goldman, Ph.D., reveals high rates of shingles (herpes zoster) in Americans since the government's 1995 recommendation that all children receive chicken pox vaccine. Goldman's research supports that shingles, which results in three times as many deaths and five times the number of hospitalizations as chicken pox, is suppressed naturally by occasional contact with chicken pox.

Chickenpox is caused by Varicella Herpes Zoster, a member of the Herpes virus family, that also causes shingles. There is a vaccine available to prevent chickenpox.

The chickenpox vaccine, also known as the Varicella vaccine, became available in the mid 1990's. It is recommended by the FDA, the World Health Organization and most family doctors.

because the Varicella Herpes Zoster virus causes chickenpox. It is a
shot that can prevent chickenpox. It was was developed in Japan 25 years
ago and has since been given to over 2 million people worldwide.
In the US, the vaccine is available under the brand name
Varivax
and is manufactured by Merck.

Usually chickenpox is not treated at all. It is one of those childhood
diseases like mumps and measles and it will go on its own.

Chickenpox is caused by the virus Herpes Zoster. It
is very easy to catch as it spreads through the humidity in the air
in the incubation period of chickenpox which lasts from 7 to 23 days
and has no symptoms.
